Located on SR 89A, twenty-seven miles south of Flagstaff, Sedona is bounded on one side by red rocks and the other by the lush Oak Creek Canyon.  The scenery is incredible, the sky is deep blue and the rock seems to change color all day from the different angles of the sun.  The town of Sedona is also famous for its artists and spiritualists as there is said to be several vortexes here.

The hiking we did in our trips to Sedona led to beautiful vistas.  It has gotten more popular over the years and more stores have opened along SR 89A and therefore more people on the hiking trails of Sedona but it is not to be missed and can make a great two day or three day stop on your way to the Grand Canyon National Park.
